DUSTIN PARKER

Dustin Parker is a child of the 80s, raised on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons, Nintendo games, comic books and 80s horror films. As a child, Parker developed his creative muscles by drawing robots, dinosaurs and superheroes on his homework assignments. As an adult, Parker earns his bread and butter working as a graphic designer and illustrator.

His current project is called MONSTER MANIA, a series of digital illustrations of cryptids, anthropomorphic creatures, classic movie monsters, creepy clowns and other oddball characters. The series is inspired by Ben Cooper Halloween costumes, Garbage Pail Kids trading cards, 80s horror films and comic books.

Parker’s illustrations are created using traditional comic book illustration techniques and are characterized by bold lines, garish colors and gritty textures. Parker’s illustration style is heavily influenced by artists like Todd McFarlane, Matthew Allison, Greg Capullo, Alex Pardee, Jack Kirby, Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, Geof Darrow, Tom Scioli, Ed Piskor, Mike Mignola. Erik Larsen and many others.

Parker lives and works in Wichita, KS.
